Our Aspiration: Lead the Future of Healthcare Worldwide

Medley aspires to become the company that contributes most to the future of healthcare globally. To achieve this, Medley is focused on building the best products in the market, scaling them the furthest, delivering the greatest sense of trust and reassurance, and becoming indispensable societal infrastructure.

Medley's logo, in use since its founding in 2009, is inspired by an image of the heart's pumping action. This is a metaphor for circulating healthcare people can trust to every corner of society—much like a heart circulates blood through the body. The red color not only reflects the color of blood, but also represents Medley's bold determination to take on any challenge without hesitation.

Medley pursues an ambitious goal: to bring sustainable healthcare that people can truly trust to every corner of Japan—and the world.

For example, JobMedley, Medley's founding healthcare recruitment platform, is now used by approximately 38%* of customer facilities in Japan and around 26%* of healthcare professionals. In addition, as part of its CSR activities, Medley has developed and provided products aimed at becoming critical infrastructure for healthcare in Japan. These products include the online medical encyclopedia Medley, developed with an emphasis on neutrality, comprehensiveness, and timely updates to promote better access to medical information, as well as Clinics, a product that helped pioneer Japan’s telemedicine market.

To address healthcare's complex challenges, Medley—true to its name—seeks to build an organization where experts with different strengths connect as a team and achieve what is difficult.

Medley is guided by a set of behavioral principles called Our Essentials, which outline the competencies and expected behaviors shared by high-performing members. Many of these competencies are common among global software companies with significant social impact. Medley places Our Essentials at the center of its organizational development and uses it broadly across interviews, performance evaluations, and as a practical checklist for day-to-day work and behavior. While it is difficult for any one person to embody all 12 principles, they help Medley form teams that combine individuals' strengths and support capability development—both in amplifying strengths and addressing weaknesses.

Our Essentials

One distinctive principle is Drive With Documents. It does not simply mean documenting work. It means writing things down at the start of a project, and using that documentation to align the team and move work forward efficiently. This helps prevent information from becoming siloed, makes context easier to share, and accelerates work through asynchronous communication.

Medley is a company where experts with diverse strengths come together to understand, embody, and deliver results through Our Essentials, tackling major challenges that no one has solved before.

Since 2023, Medley has been supporting Jobley—a recruitment platform for healthcare professionals in the United States—by leveraging its "Healthcare × IT" expertise developed in Japan to address challenges in hiring and retention. In connection with this initiative, Medley established MEDLEY US, Inc. in Bellevue, Washington, and Medley Philippines Inc. in Manila, the Philippines as a global operations hub. Together, these locations will help Medley expand its international business over the mid to long term, and are actively recruiting expert talent globally.

At Medley, where the business itself directly contributes to solving healthcare challenges, members often say that the line between "work for myself" and "work for society" has begun to disappear. Many even feel that distinction no longer exists at all—that they are simply working to "shape the future of healthcare."

We are looking for people who resonate with Medley's mission and culture and are eager to help shape the future of healthcare with us—across Japan and around the world.
