Kohei TakiguchiPresident and Chief Executive Officer
Kohei Takiguchi founded Medley with an awareness of issues with medical care from personal medical experiences inJune 2009 and serves as CEO. Prior to Medley, he established Gemeinschaft, Inc., in the United States at the age of 17 and provided marketing and statistical research service in Japan and abroad.
Goichiro ToyodaDirector and Medical Doctor
Goichiro Toyoda joined Medley,Inc., as Director in February 2015 and took the lead in launching “the Medical Encyclopedia MEDLEY”. He has been engaged in education to promote the appropriate use of telemedicine in Japan and currently serves in charge of Business and Public Sector Relations. Prior to joining Medley, he worked as a physician at Seirei Hamamatsu General Hospital and NTT Medical Center Tokyo, and conducted brain research at Children's Hospital of Michigan, then worked at McKinsey & Company. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tokyo and holds a Licentiate in Medicine. He also authored the book named "Working to create our future."
Sosuke HirayamaDirector and CTO
Sosuke Hirayama joined Medley, Inc., in 2015 and was appointed Director in January 2016. He has directed the medical platform business and organizational development and currently supervises Research and Development. Prior to joining Medley, he worked for Hitachi Software Engineering, Co., Ltd.,and GREE, Inc., and held the role of CTO at Livesense. He has been selected to the MITOU Program by Information-technology Promotion Agency Japan, the project to discover and develop young talents who are capable of accelerating innovation and playing a key role in creating next-generation IT markets.
Yosuke Ishizaki joined Medley, Inc., as Director in April 2015 and has led the growth of “Job Medley”. He currently manages HR Platform Business. Prior to joining Medley, he worked at Hatena Co., Ltd., and held the role of director of the Media department at GREE Inc. president at its subsidiary.
Yuta Tamaru joined Medley, Inc., in May 2016 and worked as Chief Legal Officer. After that, he was appointed Director in February 2018 and mainly leads the cross-functional projects. Prior to joining Medley, he worked on cross-border company legislation including M&A and business alliances at Paul Hastings LLP and White & Case LLP. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo and holds attorney qualifications.
Ryo KawaharaDirector and CFO
Ryo Kawahara joined Medley, Inc., as Director in July 2016 and has been engaged in finance and investor relations as CFO. Prior to joining Medley, he worked on domestic and overseas funding and M&A advisory businesses at JP Morgan Securities.
Yusuke ShimaDirector and Medical Doctor
Yusuke Shima joined Medley, Inc. in April 2016 and has led new product launches and M&A in the Medical Platform Business. After that, he was appointed Director in March 2021 and worked as the head of telemedicine business and Corporate Planning Office. His current role is the head of Medical Platform Business Division 2 and manages group companies and M&A. Prior to joining Medley, he worked for Boston Consulting Group as a consultant in the healthcare industry. Prior to that, he worked as a gastroenterologist at the Japanese Red Cross Medical Center. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tokyo and holds a Licentiate in Medicine.
Hidetoshi TakanoExternal Director
He was appointed external director of Medley at the time of establishment in June 2009. Takano was involved in the start-up of the talent referral business at Intelligence, Inc. (now Persol Career, Co., Ltd.), established and became a representative director of KeyPlayers, Inc. He graduated from the Tohoku University Faculty of Economics.
Noboru KotaniExternal Director
Kotani was appointed external director of Medley in March 2018. He was a senior vice president at the Boston Consulting Group and founded and served as the representative director of Dream Incubator Inc. He currently serves as the external director for Combi Corporation, Jins Holdings, Inc., SanBio Co., Ltd., and Bilcom Inc. He holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and graduated from the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Engineering and Faculty of Engineering.
Daisuke IwaseExternal Director
Daisuke was elected External Director of Medley, Inc. in March 2021. He most recently was CDO (Chief Digital Officer) of AIA Group Limited, Asia's largest insurance company in 2018. He co-established Lifenet Insurance Company as Vice President in 2006, and became Representative Director and President, and then Director and Chairman of the company. Prior to that, he joined the Boston Consulting Group and then another company, after which he attended Harvard Business School. He graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law in 1998. He is External Director of Benesse Holdings, Inc. and Managing Partner of Spiral Capital at present.
Kenichi HoshiExternal Director
Kenichi was elected External Director of Medley, Inc. in March 2021. He joined Amazon Japan G.K. in 2008 and served as Head of Retail/Hardline, Seller Services, and Amazon Business through its early growing period. Prior to that, he joined Misumi Corporation in 2005 where he served as President of an affiliated company in Thailand, after serving as President of the affiliated companies of Juki Corporation in France and Romania, the company which he joined in 1989. From 2020 to March 2022, he worked as COO of Oisix RA Daichi Inc. He is currently the President of kenhoshi&Company and External Director of AI inside Inc.
Shohei OmoteFull-time Auditor
Graduated from Waseda University School of Law in 2007 and Waseda University Graduate School of Law in 2010. Registered as an attorney in 2014. Worked mainly on tasks related to corporate compliance in Tokyo law offices. Was appointed Medley's corporate auditor in 2015.
Keiichi KatoExternal Corporate Auditor
He joined Shin Daikyowa Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (currently Tosoh Corporation) in 1973. He was appointed full-time corporate auditor after serving as the General Manager and Secretary-General of the Administrative Division of Toyoko Riken. Subsequently, after being appointed the managing director of Amniotech and the managing director of Immunofrontia, Inc., he became a standing corporate auditor for BrainPad Inc. and was involved in the development, construction, and management of the audit system from prior to the public trading launch of Amniotech to the present. He was appointed external corporate auditor for Medley in 2016.
Masahide KamachiExternal Corporate Auditor
After graduating from Ritsumeikan University's Faculty of Management in 2004, he worked on a number of accounting and tax consulting services related to M&A, capital policy, and IPO support at Chuo Aoyama (now PwC Certified Public Tax Accountants). He is a representative of Kamachi Corporation; representative of the Masahide Kamachi Certified Public Accountant Office; external director for SOU Inc.; and auditor for NPO AfriMedico. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Tax Accountant. He was appointed external corporate auditor for Medley in 2017.
Toshihiro YokooExecutive Officer and Head of Job Medley
Toshihiro Yokoo joined Medley, Inc. in April 2011 and was appointed Executive Officer in April 2017. He currently manages the Job Medley department . Prior to joining Medley, he worked as a sales representative in the temporary staffing industry and as a coordinator in dealing with job seekers relations and station management.
Takeshi TeramachiExecutive Officer and Head of the HR Platform Business Marketing and Academy Business Promotion
Takeshi Teramachi joined Medley, Inc. in May 2015 and leads marketing at the HR Platform Business department. Prior to joining Medley, he had worked for the emerging company as a board member and joined Recruit. At Recruit,after he dedicated sales, web marketing and product planning, he managed the new business.
Kiyoshi TanakaExecutive Officer and CTO of Medical Platform Business
Kiyoshi Tanaka joined Medley, Inc. in May 2016 and serves as CTO of the Medical Platform Business. Prior to joining Medley, he worked as an application engineer in an independent SIer, and then worked on the planning and development of various core systems at a consulting firm. He went on to join CyberAgent and was responsible for launching and developing social games and video services as a server-side engineer.
Takayuki KanematsuExecutive Officer and Head of Corporate Design
Takayuki Kanematsu joined Medley, Inc. in March 2017 and is responsible for constructing the organization of Corporate IT and HR. Prior to joining Medley, after he had worked as an engineer, he became in charge of the promotion planning and operation management as an in-house IT planner at a major general trading company. Following that, he worked on systems planning and cyber-risk consulting at consulting firms like Deloitte.
Sho ImanakaExecutive Officer and Head of Legal & Compliance Attorney at Law
Sho Imanaka joined Medley, Inc. in November 2021 and serves as General Counsel. Prior to joining Medley, he worked on M&A and other corporate matters with leading law firm Mori Hamada and Matsumoto and became a partner in January 2021. He graduated from the University of Tokyo Graduate Schools for Law and Politics, and Columbia Law School. He was admitted to the bar in Japan and New York.
Takayuki NakamuraExecutive Officer and Head of Medical Platform Business, Division 1
Takayuki Nakamura joined Medley, Inc. in November 2021 and has led the collaboration with NTT Docomo and currently directs Medical Platform Business division 1 including the cloud telemedicine system “CLINICS”, the system for the pharmacies “Pharms” and the application for patients “CLINICS”. Prior to joining Medley, he worked at Recruit and held the position of Director and Product Manager for travel, new business development, beauty and staffing businesses.
Kumiko ImaiExecutive Officer and Head of Public Relations
Kumiko Imai joined Medley, Inc. in April 2022 and directs Public Relations. She worked on public relations for global and Japanese public companies and agencies in a wide variety of industries. Prior to joining Medley, she held the position as Senior PR Manager at Amazon Japan and led corporate and consumer PR including e-commerce business and Amazon Prime.
Hiroyuki KomatsuPresident of Pacific Medical, Inc.
Komatsu founded Pacific System Co., Ltd. (currently known as Pacific Medical, Inc.) in 1997 with an aim to develop medical IT infrastructure in Japan, after studying the wide adoption of IT infrastructure in the US. He was initially dedicated to basic design and programming of electronic medical record, then expanded his focus to designing electronic health record to date. Through his efforts, he supports local medical institutions in building a network within the community and streamlining their operations. Komatsu studied abroad to the US in 1995 and majored in computer science at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Yusuke ShimaRepresentative Director (Medical Doctor) of Pacific Medical, Inc.
Yusuke was elected Representative Director (Medical Doctor) of Pacific Medical, Inc. in January 2021. He is also Director of Medley Inc. Joining Medley, Inc. Since joining Medley in 2016, he has led new product launches and M&A in the Medical Platform Business and current role is the head of Medical Platform Business Division 2 and manages group companies and M&A. Hiroshi OdaRepresentative Director and CEO of MEDiPASS Co., Ltd.
Oda was appointed Representative Director and CEO of MEDiPASS Co., Ltd. in December 2020 and currently oversees Business Headquarters and Business Development Department. He joined the company in 2009 as a founding member and was elected a director in 2014. He has led the growth of home medical care support business and developed MeDiPASS Academy and elderly home business. Prior to that, he joined Sun Life Corporation in 1989, where he was involved in development of new businesses as a manager of secretary's office.
